Ph.D. Candidate in Economics, Columbia University

Hello! My name is Tanya, and I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at Columbia University.

Starting in July 2022, I will be a research associate at the Institute of Social Science at The University of Tokyo. In Fall 2023, I will be joining the Department of Economics at Bowdoin College as an assistant professor.

My research fields are health economics and economic education, and my work focuses on the impact of institutional policies and interventions on targeted individuals like health care providers, patients, and college students. In my job market paper, I study prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs) and the impact of policy non-coordination between states on PDMP effectiveness.
